Metropolis Information

Previous Rank: City
Next Rank: None

What's a Metropolis?

This is far beyond the hustle and bustle of a city -- this is a utopian for Gazer's finest citizens!  These select few live in the lap of luxury and strive to come up with new and innovative ways to spend their Minecraft days.  You will never find a richer or braver bunch.

Requirements

In order to become a metropolis, you will need to have the following:
  • A designated metropolis leader
  • Ten or more active residents
    • A house/base/shelter for every resident
    • Each resident must have been active on the server for at least 4 weeks.
  • Lit, visible roads linking all buildings together
  • A least five lit roads, beautifully built and safe for horses, connecting to other villages, towns, cities, or metropolises
  • An Ender Dragon Egg to prove your heroics in battle against the feared beast that plagues the realm
  • Three beacons so your metropolis can be seen from miles around.
  • A cohesive theme throughout the metropolis in either building style or materials
  • Three attractions
    • This is open to interpretation, but it should be neat enough that people would want to travel out of their way to come see it.
    • Ideas: a mob grinder, sculpture, game, minecart coaster, a unique public building, etc. -- be creative!
Once you think you have all of these requirements in place, request a review from Zherix.  She will look over your area and determine that you've met all the requirements.
    • On weekdays, reviews will be done once a day at 12pm server time (Pacific Standard Time).  Please put your request in to Zherix before then.
    • On weekends, reviews may be done more frequently depending on Z's availability.

    Leader: Jarl

This honorable title shows that the leader has served the community well, both within his/her city and outside of it.  The jarl communicates well with both members and administrators alike and continues to serve his/her realm to the best of his/her abilities.  The term "jarl" (pronounced yar-el) is very similar to the modern English "earl," but fits along with Gazer's Middle Aged terminology.

    Second in Command:

For every 4 members in the group, the leader may appoint 1 second-in-command title. All appointed second-in-command leaders will receive the title of "Guardian".

    What's next?

You've made it to the top of the Gazer Realms!  Nothing to do now but enjoy the community you've chosen and take on new, creative projects together!
