What is it?
Discovery Warps is a teleportation system that only activates when you find the discovery warp plates. Discovery Warp plates will be placed in villages, towns, cities, metropolises, and places of interest around the server. You cannot teleport to a Discovery Warp plate until you have "discovered" that particular plate. Once you have discovered a Discovery Warp plate, you can teleport there at any time.
Why do we have it?
When playing on a server as opposed to single player, most people find themselves wanting to travel beyond their home base to see what the community is creating. This allows a way to safely travel great distances without constantly dying. The primary purpose is to encourage people to explore and build together in order to earn a warp pad.
How Can I Opt Out?
You can opt out of Discovery Warps by simply not using the commands or living by a warp pad.
Useful Commands
To use any of these commands, you must first type "t" to bring up the server's chat. The words "DiscoveryWarp" can be swapped out with "dw" in any of the below commands.
/dw list
- This command will show you where all of the Discovery Warp pads are located on the server. When you want to travel, you will need to type the name listed here in order to get there.
/dw tp <WarpName>
- This command will allow you to warp to a location that you have already discovered. Use the "list" command to see which places you have discovered and are able to travel to.
